This scholarship is supported by Mrs. Rosemary Airey (MA Economics & History, 1955) and forms part of the Wardlaw Scholarship Scheme, established in 2004 to provide financial assistance to academically gifted students who would otherwise struggle with the cost of studying at the University of St Andrews.

Eligibility Criteria for the Rosemary Airey Scholarship at the University of St Andrews:

  • Be applying for an undergraduate degree at the University of St Andrews (entry in 2026).
  • Be classed as Rest of UK (RUK) for fee purposes (England, Wales, or Northern Ireland).
  • Demonstrate financial need (means-tested).
  • Be studying full-time or part-time (daytime).
  • Not be eligible for SAAS (Student Awards Agency Scotland) fee support.
  • Submit evidence of household income (bank statements or official documentation).
  • Apply through the St Andrews Access Award application form. Individual applications for this scholarship are not accepted.
