Charpak Master Scholarship 2027: Eligibility, Deadline & Documents

The France Excellence Charpak Master Scholarship is funded by the French Embassy in India. It supports Indian students on a one- or two-year Master's programme in France, in any field of study.

Eligibility requirements

• Indian citizen or OCI card holder.
• 30 years old or younger at the time of application.
• Currently enrolled in, or a graduate of, an Indian higher education institution.
• Admitted to, or applying for, a full-time Master's programme in France.

What the scholarship covers

• A monthly allowance of €860.
• Visa fee waiver and Campus France "Études en France" fee waiver.
• Student social security.
• Priority access to CROUS student housing, subject to availability.

Application deadline

The 2026 round closed on 30 March 2026. Past rounds opened in late December, so the 2027 call is expected to follow a similar timeline. Check the exact dates on Campus France India before applying.

• Passport and passport-size photograph
• CV (2 pages maximum)
• Admission letter or proof of application in France
• Academic transcripts and degree certificates
• French language certificate, if available
• Internship or employment certificates, if applicable
• Recommendation letter(s)

Selection criteria

Applications are assessed on academic excellence, consistency of the academic path and the quality of the statement of purpose.
