The Hubert Curien PHC Tassili Program is a three-year initiative that supports Franco-Algerian scientific cooperation. It provides funding for joint research projects, with a focus on mobility within French laboratories and Algerian doctoral students, as well as young teacher-researchers preparing for accreditation.

Benefits and Funding

The average amount of support provided to each project each year is around €20,000. The French side contributes around €10,000 (on average €8,000 for mobility and €2,000 for logistical support), while the Algerian side contributes around €10,000.

The program has no age limit. However, the student must be enrolled in the 1st year of a doctorate in Algeria at the time of submitting the project. The Algerian and French co-directors must agree on the thesis subject(s) and on the parts of the work that will be carried out in each of the two countries according to a well-established schedule.
