Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be of Slovenian nationality (not open to candidates with dual French nationality)
  • Be enrolled in a regular Bachelor's or Master's degree course in France at a French higher education institution
  • Have the objective of obtaining a degree issued by this institution
  • Not benefit from another scholarship (e.g., Erasmus+, Ad Futura...) for the same period of study
  • Not be current or former French government scholarship holders

There is no age restriction, and all fields of study are eligible.

How to apply

The application process begins in January each year. Applicants must fill out the application form (available in French and English) and submit it along with the required documents by email before the deadline of April 25, 2025.

Required documents include:

  • A copy of an identity document (passport or ID card)
  • A curriculum vitae in French or English (maximum 2 pages, including any publications)
  • A letter of motivation in French or English, outlining background and personal/professional objectives (maximum 1 page)
  • A letter of pre-admission or, if not available, a letter of intent/interest from the French host establishment
  • Copies of diplomas obtained since the Matura (inclusive) and transcripts for the previous two years of study, accompanied by translations into French or English
  • Optional: A copy of the DELF/DALF certificate (certifications of French as a foreign language)

Selection process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview in May at the Institut français de Slovénie. The results will be communicated via email between late May and mid-June.
