Eligibility:
You're eligible if:
- you can demonstrate financial hardship;
- you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person;
- you are a domestic student in accordance with The University’s Fee Policy; and
- you are enrolled full-time at the University of Queensland.
Selection criteria:
We'll consider:
- your personal statement included with your application
- demonstrated financial hardship;
- personal qualities, including leadership potential;
- academic ability; and
- any other matter considered relevant to your future academic success.
Preference will be given to students in:
- any undergraduate program from the Schools of Business and Economics (including associated duals), and
- the Master of Business Administration.
About this scholarship:
This scholarship was established in 2021 by Dr Don Hamson (Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) ‘84 and Doctor of Philosophy ‘93) to honour his late wife (Tina Hamson). The scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying at the Schools of Business and Economics.
