Eligibility Criteria for UQ Firebirds Scholarship:

You're eligible if you:

  • are a Commencing Student; 
  • are or will be enrolled full-time in an Approved Program; 
  • can demonstrate that you have played netball for school or a club or contributed to the sport of netball through coaching or volunteering within the two year period prior to the year of the award.

Selection Criteria:

  • Strength of interest demonstrated in the chosen program of study and commitment to the netball community will be considered.
  • Selection will also be based on demonstrated financial need.
  • Preference will be given to Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Persons.
  • Regional or remote students and students who are the first in their family to attend university are preferred.
