On behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs the Mexican Agency for International Cooperation for Development (AMEXCID) invites foreign citizens interested to study for a specialization, master's degree or doctorate, conduct postgraduate or postdoctoral research, or participate in a university or undergraduate mobility program to participate in the 2019 Mexican Government Scholarship Program for International Students

fellowships are offered to more than 180 countries through a series of bilateral conventions, multilateral programs and special agreements. More than 70 Mexican institutions participate and all offer academic programs registered with the National Council for Science and Technology (CONACYT) as National Quality Graduate Programs. By offering Mexican government scholarships to international students, Mexico is strengthening its role as a global player and renewing its commitment to cooperation programs that help create highly qualified human resources. requirements:

  • Scholarships for university studies are offered to complete programs of specialization, master's or doctorate and postdoctoral research. Likewise, the offer includes academic mobility for the baccalaureate and the postgraduate degree. On the other hand, scholarships for special programs are offered for short-term fellowships for visiting professors, Mexican researchers, media contributors, artistic scholarships, etc.
  • Candidates can not live in Mexico at that time. Except in special cases, scholarships can not begin in November or December.
  • Inquiries and all scholarship applications must be submitted to the Mexican Embassy or Embassy of the applicant's country or designated Mexican institution. Only applications that meet all requirements will be considered
  • All documents and forms must be in Spanish or submitted with Spanish translations
  • Candidates will be informed of the results by the corresponding Mexican Embassy or designated Mexican institution.
  • Scholarships are not transferable and can not be carried forward to subsequent years
