Archibald Scholarship
Description
Founded in 1911 by an initial gift of $1,000 from the beneficiaries in the estate of the late Honourable John Archibald, MLC. The Archibald Scholarship is maintained by an endowment fund which is open to further gifts.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and reward the study of economics at The University of Queensland.
Eligibility
You will be considered for the award of a Scholarship in a year, if you:
- are commencing the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) program in the year of award; or
- have completed at least #48 towards the Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours) and intend to, or are currently enrolled in Economics in the year of award; and
- have obtained an overall GPA of at least 6.50 in the Specified Courses*
- do not hold another scholarship that the Head deems similar.
* Specified courses are ECON2010, ECON2020, ECON2030, ECON2040, ECON2050, ECON2300, ECON3010, ECON3020, ECON3350 or ECON3360.
How to apply
You will automatically be considered for this scholarship as part of application and admission process to the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) and the Economics major in the Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours).
This scholarship is not available by application.
