Eligibility:

You're eligible if:

  • you are a domestic student in accordance with the University’s Fee Policy;
  • you are enrolled full-time in an Approved Program;
  • you are a resident at an Approved Accommodation Provider; 
  • you are from a Regional, Rural or Remote Area in Queensland which is more than 200km from Brisbane; and
  • you can demonstrate financial hardship by providing documentary evidence

Selection criteria:

Preference will be given to applicants who (in order of preference):

  • have a usual place of residence in the St George area of Queensland;
  • are from a Regional, Rural or Remote Area.

About this scholarship:

Established in 2026 by a gift from Mr Geoffrey Jaeger. The scholarship is to support an undergraduate student from a regional, rural and remote area who is experiencing financial hardship with the cost of residential fees.
