A co-financed scholarship scheme called "Concorde Scholarships" has been established for selected Gabonese students, known as "Concorde Scholars". Upon completion of the selection process, 90 scholars will benefit from the status of scholarship recipients from both the French and Gabonese governments during their studies in France.
Programme description:
The Concorde Scholarships were introduced in 2011 and renewed through a partnership agreement between the Embassy of France in Gabon and the National Scholarship Agency of Gabon (ANBG). The programme aims to enable an annual contingent of 90 Gabonese students to pursue their studies in France.

Students selected for the programme benefit from dual status as scholars of both the French (BGF) and Gabonese governments.

Eligibility is restricted to students who have completed a two- or three-year undergraduate degree in Gabon and are seeking enrollment in a master's or doctoral programme at a prestigious French public school or university.

The Cultural Cooperation and Action Service of the Embassy of France and the ANBG participate equally in a joint pre-selection committee for applications.
The ANBG commits to submitting the list of successful candidates from the pre-selection committee to the Technical Committee of the ANBG.

The terms of candidacy are announced annually by the ANBG through press releases and on its website www.anbg.ga.

Amount/Benefits:
The French Party agrees to cover the following expenses for Concorde Scholars:
- Free registration at a university or public higher education institution in France,
- Free access to the "Welcome to France" training program
- Social security costs related to their stay in France
- For 10 students accepted into prestigious schools or specialized programs, educational fees and travel expenses to their place of residence as well as the remaining portion of the BGF study scholarship beyond the ANBG's allowance.
Through Campus France, the Gabonese Party (ANBG) ensures the payment of the nominal amount of the Gabonese government's scholarship in accordance with the applicable laws in Gabon for 90 scholars and round-trip travel to their place of residence for the remaining 80 scholars.
