The Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research (NWO) Program is offered to researchers to do research of their choice. The NWO Talent Program VICI is for senior researchers who have already demonstrated the ability to develop their line of research. The Vici grant is awarded to researchers with exceptional academic qualities. The Vici grant provides the researcher the opportunity to expand on their research group and further develop the research line.

Eligibility Criteria for NWO Talent Program | Vici 2026:

  • The applicants must be senior researchers who have developed their line of research.
  • The applicants must demonstrate exceptional academic qualities.
  • The applicants must demonstrate strong leadership and mentorship skills.

Application Process:

  • Interested candidates must submit a pre-proposal to be considered for the grant.
  • If the pre-proposal is accepted, the applicants can submit the full proposal.

Value of the Scholarship:

  • The successful candidates are awarded a maximum of EUR 1,500,000.
  • The duration of the award is for a maximum of five years.
