The University of South Australia is offering the International Research Tuition Scholarships (IRTS). These scholarships are awarded to international candidates on the basis of academic merit and demonstrated research capability, and who will be supported during their degree by a full living stipend supported by external funding.

Admission requires applicants to hold or be eligible to hold one of the following degrees:
An Honours degree or a Bachelor degree with Honours of at least class 2a standard in an appropriate discipline.
An appropriate Masters degree.
Satisfy the Dean of Research that their previous education, relevant professional experience and published research work is of sufficient quality and relevance to prepare the applicant for a research degree.
Master Eligibility Criteria:
Admission requires applicants to hold or be eligible to hold:
An Honours degree or a Bachelor degree with honours.
A relevant Bachelor degree (or equivalent) of at least 3 years with a minimum credit average.
Satisfy the Dean of Research that their previous education, relevant professional experience and published research work is of sufficient quality and relevance to prepare the applicant for a research degree.
In addition to meeting the previous eligibility criteria, applicants must be:
Commencing international research degree students.
High quality with demonstrated research capability, as assessed by UniSA.
Be supported by a strong supervisory panel(with end-user adviser on the supervisory panel, where appropriate), and be enrolled in a research-rich environment.
The IRTS will cover the international tuition fee for 3 years (plus a possibility of a 6 month extension) for a PhD student and the international tuition fee for 2 years for a research master’s student.
The scholarship does not cover overseas health cover and applicants are responsible for ensuring they have visa length overseas health cover for themselves and, if applicable, their family.
The living stipend needs to be in the form of an externally funded scholarship administered through the University or in agreement with an industry partner, sponsorship body or organization.
