South East Technological University (SETU) is a public Irish university formed through the merger of higher education institutes across the southeast region, with campuses in Waterford, Carlow, and Wexford. The university focuses on delivering world-class, research-driven education within a supportive environment for local and international students, across a wide range of disciplines.

SETU offers the International Academic Excellence Scholarship (IAES) to self-funded, non-EU international students who wish to pursue full-time undergraduate or taught postgraduate programs on campus. The scholarship may cover either 100% or 50% of tuition fees, depending on academic performance and the quality of the application.

Application Deadline

The application deadline is May 4, 2025, and applicants must have received and confirmed an admission offer for an eligible program before the academic committee convenes to select the scholarship recipients.
