Overview:

To support commencing international students from Southeast Asia who wish to undertake an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at UTS in Sydney.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Scholarship, an applicant must meet all of the following criteria:

  • Remain an international student (not an Australian citizen, New Zealand citizen or permanent resident of Australia); and
  • Be a citizen of one of the following countries in the Southeast Asia region
    • Brunei
    • Cambodia
    • Indonesia
    • Laos
    • Malaysia
    • Philippines
    • Singapore
    • Thailand
    • Timor-Leste
    • Vietnam
  • Meet all admission requirements for the selected UTS undergraduate (including Honours programs) or postgraduate coursework program; and
    Commencing full-time and on campus (Sydney); and
  • Be admitted into an UTS coursework intake between Spring session 2026 to Summer session 2028

Application Process:

  • Recipients must remain full-time international students (normally 24 credit points per session) unless an approved reduced study load is granted.
  • They may request to transfer the scholarship to another UTS program at the same study level through an internal course transfer, but the scholarship duration will not be extended.

Selection process:

  • For undergraduate admission, academic merit in the qualification used as the basis of admission for entry into the selected UTS undergraduate program.
  • For postgraduate admission, academic merit in the most recently completed and recognised qualification or the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT Exam) or Graduate Record Examination (GRE General Test) (both tests accepted for admission into UTS Business School programs only) for entry into the selected postgraduate coursework program.
