Outcomes from such collaborations have not only helped strengthen national and transnational health outcomes in the form of shared knowledge and biomedical tools but have also served as an important means of promoting person-to-person and institution-to-institution relationships through research training.This program leverages longstanding partnerships at two world-class collaborating Chinese academic centers, and an established community of faculty and leadership dedicated to global health training at Yale—through the NIH Fogarty International Center-sponsored Global Health Equity Scholars Program, and the CMB Global Health Leadership Development Program—to deliver an unparalleled training experience. Trainees will undergo one year of mentored research training under the supervision of an experienced mentorship team from Yale and the collaborating Chinese institution, with the option to extend the fellowship for a second year if program goals are met during the first year.
