Program description:
The IRIS-E project aims to support the challenges of environmental transition by developing interdisciplinary, co-constructed perspectives that promote the transformation of training courses. The IRIS-E team is committed to supporting the outgoing and incoming mobility of students from higher education and research establishments that are part of these perspectives.
It is expected that this mobility will enable students to complete their training objectives. Applicants' applications must also meet the IRIS-E criteria:
1) Mandatory link with environmental transition issues ;
2). Link between the project and at least two of the following criteria: a- multidisciplinarity or interdisciplinarity mobilised as part of the mobility. b- new skills targeted, including non-disciplinary skills. c- links between the project and civil society: stakeholders involved in co-construction; participatory science dimensions.
Amount/Benefits:
A monthly allowance equivalent to the Erasmus allowance, up to a maximum of 3,000 euros per mobility period.
Duration:
IRIS-E supports projects lasting from 1 to 6 months.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
Age:
No age requirement. Students from the third year of a Bachelor's degree (Licence 3) to the second year of a Master's degree (Master 2).

The mobility project must necessarily take place from or toward one of the partner institutions of the IRIS-E project:

Criteria:

REGISTRATION / APPLICATION:
A student applies for IRIS-E financial support as part of the procedure of their home institution by completing the form provided by their institution, or, if no institutional form is available, by filling in the IRIS-E online form.
Documents to provide:
- A cover letter including the positioning of the mobility project in relation to the IRIS-E criteria;
- A reflection on the carbon footprint of the travel;
- A provisional budget specifying the funding requested and secured: template available on the IRIS-E website;
- An invitation letter signed by the director of the host research unit and by the designated contact person responsible for hosting the PhD student, specifying the dates of the stay;
- A student ID card or enrolment certificate attesting to the applicant's registration in a higher education institution;
- If already established, a copy of the signed internship agreement.
Selection process:
4–5 incoming mobility projects and 4–5 outgoing mobility projects per year for the Rennes site. Axis 3 of the IRIS-E programme is responsible for selecting applications on a rolling basis as they are received.
