The Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) and its Geopolitics and Global Futures Department are now accepting applications for the 2026 GCSP Prize for Innovation in Global Security.

The GCSP Prize for Innovation celebrates individuals and organisations that are advancing bold, creative, and impactful solutions in the field of global security.

The first-place laureate receives a CHF 10,000 cash prize.

Launched in 2015 as part of the GCSP’s Creativity and Innovation Initiative, the GCSP Prize for Innovation in Global Security recognizes groundbreaking contributions that address the world’s most pressing security challenges.

Esteemed judges, including distinguished practitioners from international organizations, governments, and the private sector, will evaluate submissions based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainable global security
  • Upholding human dignity, security, and justice
  • Displaying creativity and originality

The first-place laureate receives a CHF 10,000 cash prize and a certificate of excellence in recognition of their outstanding contribution to global peace and security. Second- and third-place recipients will be honoured with certificates of recognition, while two additional projects will receive honourable mentions.

Winners will be announced during our annual online event in Fall 2026.
