The Department of Computing Science at Umeå University is pleased to announce a prestigious postdoctoral fellowship opportunity in Computer Security. This scholarship, funded by the Kempe Foundation, aims to support outstanding researchers in advancing the field of computer security through innovative research projects.

The aim of this program is to attract highly qualified researchers who have completed their doctoral degree or equivalent in computer security or related fields. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
    • Hold a doctoral degree or a foreign degree deemed equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
    • Demonstrate a competitive research record in computer security and/or software engineering
    • Possess strong collaborative skills and a critical mindset
    • Proficient in written and verbal English communication
    • Possess good programming skills, such as in C, Python, or Java
    • Desirable qualifications include knowledge of static analysis, symbolic execution, software vulnerability exploitation and prevention techniques, experience in reverse engineering, and malware analysis.
