Eligibility:
You're eligible if you:
- are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
- are enrolled full-time in the first year of the Doctor of Medicine in the year of the award.
Selection criteria:
We'll consider:
- strength of cultural identity, community connection, leadership qualities, and commitment to giving back as evidenced by a community endorsement letter from a recognised Indigenous Authority included in the application
- strength of personal statement included in the application outlining personal values, vision for Indigenous leadership in health, and commitment to contributing to community as a future doctor.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander medical students at The University of Queensland who demonstrate strong cultural connection, leadership potential, and a commitment to improving health outcomes within their communities.
