Eligibility:

The scholarship is open to application from students undertaking a Doctor of Philosophy at The University of Queensland, and who:

  • have been approved to undertake a period of research exchange at TUM in 2026; or
  • are UQ-TUM Collaborative Supervision program students (including IGSSE) travelling to TUM in 2026 under their collaborative supervision arrangements.

Candidates applying to undertake a period of research exchange at TUM must have successfully passed their confirmation review (PR1) and not yet submitted their thesis for examination.

Selection criteria:

Your application will be ranked based on:

  • Your academic achievement and potential for scholastic success; and
  • The significance and relevance of the proposed international travel to your Higher Degree by Research candidature and the potential for it to enhance your research.
