We'll consider:

  • demonstrated financial hardship;
  • personal qualities, including leadership potential;
  • academic ability; and
  • any other matter considered relevant to your future academic success.

Preference will be given (in order of preference) to students studying:

  • are from South-East Queensland;
  • are enrolled in a Preferred Approved Program in the year of the award;
  • have completed at least 16 units in an Approved Program.

About this scholarship:

This scholarship was established in 2025 by a gift from Port of Brisbane to support and empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students to access and succeed in their tertiary education at UQ.
