The Danish Cardiovascular Academy (DCA) and the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) are pleased to announce the availability of three 2/3-financed DCA-DDEA Cross-Academy PhD Scholarships.

Each scholarship, valued at 1,100,000 DKK, aims to strengthen collaboration between cardiovascular research and research within diabetes, metabolism, and endocrinology in Denmark. These scholarships are specifically designed to support transdisciplinary projects that bridge the fields of diabetes, metabolism, or endocrinology with cardiovascular research.The Danish Cardiovascular Academy (DCA) is a renowned institution at the forefront of cardiovascular research and advancement in Denmark. Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligible Countries: Open to all nationalities
  • Acceptable Course or Subjects: The scholarship will be awarded in any subject offered by the university
  • Admissible Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • Applications must be transdisciplinary across the fields of diabetes, metabolism, or endocrinology and cardiovascular research.
  • The principal supervisor of the PhD project must be within cardiovascular research, and the co-supervisor must be within diabetes, metabolism, or classical endocrinology.

With the DCA-DDEA PhD Scholarships, the program seeks to:

  • Promote interdisciplinarity and cross-sectoral research.
  • Position Denmark at an international level within the fields of cardiometabolic research and diabetes, metabolism, and classical endocrinology.
  • Create viable networks and collaboration across disciplines and sectors.
