Daniel T. Muldowney Endowed Scholarship

Description: The Daniel T. Muldowney Endowed Scholarship has been established by Alan Jay Kaufman and H.W. Kaufman Group to be supported by family and friends to honor Daniel’s life and legacy. Daniel (“Dan”) Muldowney was born in Dearborn, Michigan and was a 1977 Dearborn High School graduate. Dan graduated from Michigan State University Business School, in 1981 with a B.A. in Accounting and Finance and went on to successful career in the insurance and finance industry which included 20 years at H. W. Kaufman Group where he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and was presented with the HWK Memorial Award in 2008, the company’s highest award. The scholarship will support Broad Spartans who are seeking to build careers in the insurance, accounting and finance industry.
Criteria: Recipients shall be admitted to the Broad College of Business. Preference shall be given to students who are interested in pursuing a career in the accounting, finance, or insurance industry. First preference shall be given to students who are residents of Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, Livingston, or Washtenaw counties in the State of Michigan. Second preference shall be given to students who are residents of the State of Michigan.
