Capital News Service/Bill Cote Endowed Scholarship in Journalism

A veteran Booth Newspapers State Capitol Bureau reporter, Bill Cote joined the Journalism School full time in 1986 and ran Capital News Service until his retirement in 2002. Long considered one of the most innovative and respected bureau of its kind on any college campus, CNS alumni endowed this scholarship in his honor.

Qualifications:

  • Given to undergraduate or graduate students who are currently participating in or have participated in Capital News Service.
  • Must have an overall GPA of at least 3.25

School of Journalism scholarships are applied to a student’s university account to support a future semester of study. To apply, complete the College of Communication Arts & Sciences scholarship application.
