BBA Gallery, a contemporary art gallery based in Berlin, Germany, calls for entries to the BBA Artist Prize 2027.
The open call invites artists from around the world to submit their work for a chance to be shortlisted and exhibited at the gallery’s Berlin space.
The best works will be awarded with cash prizes, an Artsy profile, online promotion, and – for the first-prize winner – a solo exhibition at BBA Gallery in Berlin.
The BBA Artist Prize is an open competition with no restrictions on theme, medium, or artistic background. Artists aged 18 and older may submit up to five artworks in any discipline. A jury of industry professionals – including international curators, collectors, and gallerists – will evaluate submissions based on visual excellence, storytelling, conceptual thinking, technical craftsmanship, and subject depth.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all artists aged 18 and older. There are no restrictions on experience, educational background, or nationality. All themes and artistic mediums are welcome, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, ceramics, printmaking, textiles, video art, and performance.

Prizes
The BBA Artist Prize 2027 awards the following prizes:
- 1st Prize: €1,000 – Artsy profile, solo exhibition at BBA Gallery, and online promotion including newsletter, press, and social media features
- 2nd Prize: €700 – Artsy profile and online promotion including newsletter, press, and social media features
- 3rd Prize: €500 – Artsy profile and online promotion including newsletter, press, and social media features
- Audience Award: €300 – Artsy profile and online promotion including newsletter, press, and social media features
