Eligibility:
- Have/or have requested placement in a rural or regional site.
- Commitment to work in a rural or regional area on graduation.
- Are enrolled in the 3rd year of the Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery.
Selection criteria:
- Write a 500 word EOI on what you might contribute to working in a rural area.
- How course content, placement, volunteer work or employment is expanding your role as a student.
- Understanding of cultural competence in vulnerable populations.
- The impact of rural placement as a benefit to your future as a health professional.
- Demonstrate how a Rotary scholarship will support your rural experience.
- A final selection of scholarship awardees will be made by School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work,
and Rotary representatives. - Willing to introduce themselves and attend the Rotary Toowong dinner.
