Eligibility Criteria

Eligible Countries: Open to citizens of all countries except China
Acceptable Course or Subjects: All disciplines offered by Chinese universities
Admissible Criteria: Applicants must meet the following criteria:

Be citizens of countries other than China, demonstrating good moral character and academic excellence, and be in good mental and physical health.
Meet age requirements: under 45 years for general scholars and under 50 years for senior scholars.
Be registered as full-time students or employed as full-time academic staff at CSC’s foreign partner universities at the time of application and throughout their proposed stay in China.
Have received either a pre-admission letter or an invitation letter issued by HIT (Harbin Institute of Technology).

Application Process

Applicants should:

Obtain pre-admission documents or invitations from HIT.
Complete the CSC online application and upload supporting documents via the Chinese Government Scholarship Information System ( https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/#/login), using HIT’s Agency Number 10213.
Meet HIT’s nomination deadlines: April 15, 2024; July 15, 2024; October 15, 2024; and January 15, 2025.
Await CSC’s scholarship admission results, which are expected to be sent to HIT on May 15, 2024; August 15, 2024; November 15, 2024; and February 15, 2025.
Await notification of scholarship admission results from HIT.
