The Kader Asmal Fellowship Programme offers a fully funded scholarship for South African students to study at the master's level in Ireland. The program is strongly focused on fostering leadership potential in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in enhancing women's leadership capacities in STEM fields. It is conducted under the auspices of the Embassy of Ireland in South Africa, fully funded by the Irish Government.

The fellowship covers academic fees, visa application fees, medical and travel insurance, airfare, and a monthly living stipend of €700. Accommodation is secured for the first two trimesters, with a monthly allowance for the third trimester up to €1000 depending on location in Ireland.

Eligibility criteria include being a South African national, having a minimum of two years of relevant professional work experience, holding a bachelor's degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA from an accredited institution, and not possessing a master's degree. Applicants must apply for a new master's program starting August 2025.
