The Scholarship was established in 2026 through a gift from Samuel Redhead to honour the memory of the late Julia-Mary Lane, a former UQ student and inspiring friend whose passion for adventuring and pushing her own limits has motivated her friends to go on to travel the world, pursue their careers and find new hobbies.
