The Golden Pin Design Award, Asia’s premier accolade for design excellence, officially opens its 2026 global call for entries.
The award invites designers, enterprises, and cross-disciplinary teams from around the world to showcase innovative works across four categories. The Golden Pin Concept Design Award is also accepting submissions concurrently for forward-looking concepts.
Every winning entry will be awarded a certificate. The winner of the Best Design of the Year will also receive a specially crafted trophy, symbolizing the highest honor.
During the grand award ceremony, the winner of the Best Design of the Year is ceremoniously announced, marking a moment of triumph for the designer. The Design Night event on that evening also provides an opportunity for professionals in the global design and creative industries to network and exchange ideas.

All entries must be commercialized in the market, published or executed. The applicant must either be the project client or the design team.
Established in 1981 and based in Taiwan, the Golden Pin Design Award is organized by the Industrial Development Administration (IDA), Ministry of Economic Affairs, and executed by the Taiwan Design Research Institute (TDRI).
Since opening to international entries in 2014, the award has attracted top-tier talent and global brands. It has become a vital platform for global entities to validate their design prowess within the Asian market.
