Eligibility:

You're eligible if you:

  • are a domestic student
  • will complete, or has completed, Year 12 in a Rural or Regional Area in Queensland or completed Year 12 as boarder, while having a permanent address in a Rural or Regional Area in Queensland;
  • first-year student
  • are enrolled or intend to enrol full-time in an Approved Program in an Electrical Engineering Field as a commencing student
  • do not hold a similar scholarship.

Selection criteria:

We'll consider:

  • academic achievement in Year 12
  • your financial circumstances
  • your strength of interest in electrical engineering
  • personal qualities including leadership potential, community service and engagement
  • any other matter that the selection committee considers relevant to your future success in the profession.

About this scholarship:

This Scholarship was established in 2021 by the Tyree Foundation in memory of Sir William Tyree, founder of the Tyree Group and a leading Australian industrialist.
