The One Club for Creativity, the nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and celebrating the creative community, has announced the 2027 edition of The One Show.

For more than 50 years, the Pencil has stood as one of the most respected honors in advertising and design, and the programme’s disciplines span the full spectrum of creativity, from print and film to gaming, the creative use of AI, and Creator Content.

Entries open on 27 October 2026, with winners celebrated during Creative Week in New York City in May 2027.

Competition Disciplines

The One Show accepts entries across a broad range of disciplines, including:

  • Creative Use of AI — the groundbreaking use and integration of AI in work for brands, agencies and individuals.
  • Creator Content — work conceived and executed in partnership with individual creators, where the creator’s voice, platform or style is integral to the idea.
  • Film & Video — commercial spots that aired on television, in cinemas, or online.
  • Design & Branding — premium design across brand and product communications, including identity, packaging, publications and environments.
  • Design in Advertising — work where design is central to the concept and execution of an advertising campaign.
  • Gaming — interactive experiences that use gameplay to entertain, inform and create community.
  • Experiential & Immersive — temporary or permanent brand experiences in physical and/or digital environments.

The exact same piece may be entered into a maximum of three different categories per discipline, excluding craft and innovation categories. Further categories include Brand-Side / In-House, Branded Entertainment, Direct Marketing, Health & Wellness, Interactive, Online & Mobile, IP & Product Design, Pharma, Public Relations, and The Indies.

Eligibility

  • Entries must be submitted by industry professionals only, including freelancers. Student, spec work, and non-commissioned passion projects are not accepted.

  • Work produced on behalf of The One Club for Creativity and its programming is not eligible.
  • The One Show accepts and celebrates entries from around the world, with English translations required for work in other languages.
  • The One Club reserves the right to disqualify entries lacking proper documentation, and to ban for three years agencies or individuals entering fraudulent or “fake” work.

  • Gold, Silver & Bronze Pencils — icons of achievement honoring ideas distinguished by brilliance, craft and lasting impact.
  • Crystal Pencil — awarded to Best of Discipline, Best of Non-Profit, and the year’s top-ranked winners.
  • Best of Show Pencil — the pinnacle honor, recognizing the single most defining idea of the year.
