UQ Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work Leadership, Engagement, and Diversity (LEAD) Scholarship
Eligibility:
You're eligible if you:
- are a domestic student
- are a Commencing Student (i.e. first year student) in the year of the award
- are enrolled full-time in either the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery, Bachelor of Social Work (Honours) or Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery dual program
- are not holding another scholarship that the Head of School considers to be similar in the year of the award
- can demonstrate financial hardship.
Selection criteria:
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial hardship
- personal qualities including leadership potential
- any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success.
Where all other considerations are equal, preference will be given to applicants who, as demonstrated in their application and personal statement (in order of preference):
(a) are from a Regional, Rural or Remote Area;
(b) are Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander persons;
(c) have caring responsibilities as evidenced by personal statement included in the application.
The selection committee will aim to give equal representation of recipients from across all of the Approved Programs where practicable, and subject to the eligibility criteria.
Short listed applicants may be interviewed.
