This scholarship is open to PhD candidates in the field of architecture.

This Scholarship will not be offered in 2020. 

This is a philanthropic HDR travel scholarship.

Complete the online application form by 5pm, 15 July 2019.

In preparing your application, you must address the following criteria:

  • indicate how the scholarship would be spent to observe overseas architectural methods
  • the significance and relevance of the proposed overseas travel to the applicant’s research higher degree candidature
  • the potential for the proposed travel to enhance the quality of the applicant’s research higher degree thesis
  • the potential for the proposed travel to expedite the completion of the thesis.

Selection criteria

    Applicants will be ranked on the basis of:

    • the merit of the applicant's proposed travel plan, indicating how the scholarships would be spent to observe overseas architectural methods
    • the significance and relevance of the proposed overseas travel to the applicant's research higher degree candidature
    • the potential for the proposed travel to enhance the quality of the applicant's research higher degree thesis
    • the potential for the proposed travel to expedite the completion of the thesis
    • any other matters the selection committee sees fit.
