Nokia Bell Labs — the research arm of Nokia — offers an intern program for students to engage in research in numerous STEM fields. Interns work with researchers and benefit from hands-on educational and collaborative experiences with real-world applications. Internships are available in consulting areas (business & services strategy; network & cloud infrastructure; operations & transformation) and research areas including network security, AI systems, robotics, and software creation. Most internships last 10-12 weeks and are conducted through in-person, virtual, and hybrid formats. In-person internships take place anywhere Nokia Bell Labs has a research presence, including New Jersey, Dallas, Belgium, France. Interns are expected to publish research results in major scientific venues, including highly-ranked scientific journals, as they work alongside industry leading, prize-winning researchers. Some internship projects can be tailored to interns' specific skills and interests. These paid internships come with a stipend (up to $66 per hour), paid time off for holidays, flexible working opportunities, and professional development through NokiaEDU.
