Now in its 8th year, the FOTOAWARD international non-profit photography contest is calling for submissions for 2026.
FOTOAWARD is about quality, not quantity. Participation is by invitation only, after a preliminary review of sample works, photography websites, or Instagram portfolios.
The quality of FOTOAWARD speaks for itself through the winning photographs. Winners are selected by the most renowned, award-winning photographers whose credits include multiple World Press Photo awards, Wildlife Photographer of the Year wins (including a WPY Grand Prize), National Geographic assignments, and the Order of Canada.
There are no categories and no genres. Unlike most contests, FOTOAWARD has no separate nominations — any photograph of any genre competes on an equal footing, judged purely on its merit.
Submission is limited to up to 2 photos a day until the deadline. Every photograph is rated by an active international audience and judged by a world-class jury.
The winners of the 2026 contest will receive numerous prizes:
- The latest HOYA Filters/Kenko Tokina filter models
- Personalized medals, diplomas and honorary ribbons from APE — a leading Russian association of photographers and the regional representative of FIAP
- Licenses for the well-known Topaz Photo AI editor
- Photographer press cards
- Contest diplomas
The contest is completely independent, free, and run by photography enthusiasts and volunteers under the motto “MAKE RAW NOT WAR“.
