The mission of the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) is to inform, engage, and connect people around the world in support of freedom and democracy. The internship duties for IBB may include: performing data analysis in SPSS and producing charts, graphs, and analytics memos or presentations, reviewing qualitative transcripts and composing analytical reports on the findings, performing data checks on datasets, assisting in instrument design for qualitative and quantitative studies, performing desk research on media environment issues, perform market research etc. This internship provides real world experience in a diverse and dynamic international broadcast organization. The internship is located in Washington, D.C. The internship is voluntary and unpaid, but a transportation stipend is provided. Please note: The deadline is rolling (6-12 weeks before desired start date).

Eligibility: An applicant must: be a graduate student enrolled in a degree program be in the fields of audience research, media research, statistics, methodology, media or communication studies, ICT, or regional studies have some coursework in and/or experience with quantitative and/or qualitative research, at least some knowledge of statistics and SPSS software have superior attention to detail, strong writing and/or presentation composition skills International students are eligible to apply, however BBG is unable to assist in the procurement of the United States visas
