Headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) is one of the oldest and largest independent, nonprofit, applied research and development organizations in the United States. SwRI seeks student interns to work in a variety of areas in the engineering and physical sciences. SwRI performs applied contract R&D for government and business clients in the following industries: automotive & transportation; biomedical & health; chemistry & materials; defense & security; earth & space; electronics & automation; energy & environment; manufacturing & construction.
